Being the other guy who was working under the hood (although not as much as Sean) I want to second all of Sean's points.

The only thing that I wanted to add was that I (and I think the majority of the GO Crew) were unaware how many attendees we were attracting. Before, with the first come first serve sign-ups, people would just pass over games that were already full, and then we would never see a count of all the people who were interested but were unable to sign up.

We had a little fewer than 50 sign-ups to put in around 30 seats per slot for GO Con 3. When Sean informed me, and then the rest of the group, that we had 50 signups, we were all a little surprised. Some people were only signing up for 1 slot, which help lighten the load with the other slot, if only a little.

So I want to thank all of the fans who stuck with us for the experiment, for better or worse. And like Sean said, if you have an opinion or an idea for how we might do this in the future, shoot us an email, because we run our awesome games for our awesome players.

Hey Rich,

Sorry about not contacting you ahead of time about the group names being moved to the end of the description. It was on the site but I cannot direct you to it since the site has been updated to a closed status. It was not a slight against you guys or any other group. All group names were moved to help players read descriptions rather than base a game on just the group name. I know people have left great GMs games because they didn't read the description and the game wasn't really of interest to them. And because they based their decision on the group name alone, they didn't have a good gaming experience. I swear it wasn't meant to be shady. I'm sorry it came across that way, but thank you for letting me know how it seemed. I promise to contact all the GMs I can (meaning if I have their contact info and using boards and sites like this one) about changes like that in the future.

As for room numbers, we didn't have them confirmed until after the program went to print. I will see if we can get them in next year. (Keep your fingers crossed.) I'm sorry you were treated badly by staff because you didn't know where your game was. Can you e-mail me with your exact experience so I can talk to them.

Anyone is free to email me with ways to make the con better and good things too, then I know what not to change. alexis@avalongamecon.com

Thanks for everything,
Alexis

Great con, guys! Kristin, Randy and I had great times at Endgame, and we hope that it was as successful from your perspective as it was from ours. Oh, and if anyone's wondering, you can go here to get a short recap of what I said about it on our site. Also, the video of Sean getting pwned is posted there.

From the one who was usurped in the Jesus Hates Zombies game- I swear it's because he looked like Jesus, and I have a hard time arguing with that logic. No hard feelings... ;)
